I wanted to do this many times before, and now it finally was the time for my first ride on a snow scooter. We booked this as a guided tour around the ”Bruksvallarna” in Funäsfjällen. Bruksvallarna is part of Europe’s best snowmobile trail system and offers unforgettable experiences.
There are 610 kilometers of snowmobile trails, of which 150 kilometers are in the high mountains. Our tour was ca 40 km long drive. The trails are groomed daily. In the area there are seven terminals for unloading and loading, in our valley you will find them at the farm in the middle of Bruksvallarna and in Ramundberget.
Never driven a scooter before we got instructed by the guide who also gave us all the equippment needed as overalls and helmets. It was really cold -10 degrees, but the overalls kept us warm. The weather was instable, and sometimes the sun came out of the clouds. Its was exciting running over the tracks an as long as the eye could see, there was just a beautiful snow desert.
In the end of the trip vi visted a cabin where we got something to eat and could warm up. All in all an unforgettable experience I can recommend it 🙂
