Today I visited Alps and I took an easy round walk in Malbun. This way is leading up to Sasfürkle and passes Sass-Seelein on the way back, which is a small mountain lake. The walk is about 6 km long and at 1600m above sea level – the air quality and silence there is just beautiful.
Starting the parking place, the way up into the mountains just starts below the Jufa Hotel. Today there were not many visitors, during holiday season the parking places can be quite crowded. For this walk there is no need for trekking equippment, all ways are prepared and families can walk with their kids on this track. For me it took 2 hours to come around with some rests on the banks which are there to enjoy the view over the Mountains.
It was 18 degrees in the air and the snow is melting away as you can see on the mountain tops. A real pre-summer feeling with green grass and beautiful mountain flowers along the way. I find four different flower, not bad for an untrained eye like me. The deep blue Enzian on the photo below to the left, I personally like most.
I went up to Sasfürkle at 1765 m. There are some banks on the way to rest and enjoy this fantastic nature. From there I have a good view on Ochsenkopf and Augstenberg, and when wether is not so cloudy as today, you can also see Grauspitz and Naafkopf as well.
On the way back I found my favorite spot again. A place where you can see Malbun village and today it was perfect to rest a while in the sun before I went back to my car.
If you have 2 hours time in Malbun and no mountain gear just usual walking shoes, or smaller kid around, I would very much recomend this round. It is simply unforgettable.
